Meet Dr. Motz
Helping People Achieve their Most Beautiful Smiles
I enjoy empowering people to take control of their oral health. I love when I can restore or improve someone’s confidence with a smile makeover. And I am glad when I can move a patient out of dental pain and increase their quality of life. Being a dentist is about helping people: physically and emotionally. I cannot imagine a more fulfilling profession.
I love building long-term relationships with patients, keeping up on changes in their lives during their visits. Every person has their own stories and experiences to share and I am humbled when a patient chooses to confide in me. I enjoy the bonds we form, which often become friendships, and what I learn from each person. Our conversations enrich my life.
I am happy when my team and I are able to help a person who has dental anxiety. By providing a supportive environment, offering painless care, and encouraging the patient to talk about their worries, we’re able to help people overcome their fears. When a patient smiles and thanks us for making a procedure a breeze, and says they’re looking forward to coming back, I’m thrilled. I want my patients to truly care about their dental health!

I am a life-long learner. Dentistry is a rapidly evolving specialty and I want to keep up with the latest techniques, protocols, and innovations. This allows me to offer my patients the very best care and treatment options. I have completed over 500 hours of continuing education in dental implant placement and restoration. This allows me to offer a wide range of dental implant treatment options for my patients, without having to refer them to another office
I’m actively involved with continuing dental education. I have recently completed over 500 hours of coursework in implantology, resulting in Diplomat status (the highest honor) from the International Congress of Oral Implantology. I’m also certified in Oral Conscious Sedation and Invisalign®, as well as with the American Academy of Laser Dentistry.

Beyond the Office
I was born and raised in Hagerstown, MD and now reside in Myersville MD with my English Bulldog, Patton. I enjoy going out in Frederick, MD, eating at the local restaurants, and spending time with my family, especially my brother Kevin Motz, MD, who is a Head and Neck Surgeon at Johns Hopkins. I have been voted Fredericks Best Dentist for the last 2 years in a row!! I am truly honored by this recognition.
