There's a reason Dr. Motz was voted #1 in Frederick, he's amazing. From his front office to his assistants. Everyone’s focus is customer service, customer comfort and patient satisfaction. I've been to dentists on both west and east coast, he's the BEST hands down.

In the past, I have had a few bad experiences with dentists. This made me reluctant to have a major issue resolved that was caused by one of those bad experiences. My anxiety was extremely high even at the thought of just calling a dental office. When I knew I could no longer put it off, I began to research dentists and decided on Monocacy Valley Dentistry. The therapy dog was a big plus for me:)
Dr. Motz and staff (especially Patton the Bulldog) put me at ease from the very beginning. There has been a level of transparency, from details of procedures to finances, that is comforting.
The first step in my procedure was surprisingly painless and I walked out of the office that day feeling even more confident that I had made the right decision choosing Monocacy Valley. Though I still have anxiety, I know when I walk into the office, I am in good hands. Also, I look forward to visiting Patton, as he calms my stress.

I have been a patient of Dr. Motz for a long time, and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my mouth. He is a wonderful dentist. He is a gentle, caring individual. He constantly makes sure that you are not experiencing any pain unless necessary. I can't say enough about him as a dentist and as a person. I needed some front teeth replaced and he guided me in my decision to the best-looking front teeth ever! He made it possible for me to get all the teeth in the front, so my smile is perfect. I can smile again. I didn't realize how little I smiled until I got these new teeth and now, I want to show them off all the time. I am very pleased with how they look and feel. The other people that work in his office, Gwen and Trina are also the best! The hygienists are also very good and helpful in educating you about what you need to do to help your teeth and gums. I agree it is the best dental practice in Frederick!

I had such a great experience here today. The Hygienist was great. I don’t remember her name, but she did a great job. After my cleaning and X-rays, the doctor came in and gave me a full breakdown of my X-rays on the TV and told me what needed to be fixed, what’s looking good and what could use improvement.
If you are looking for a full-on helpful dentist. This is the place to go. The dog “General Patton” wasn’t there today because he was getting his hips worked on. Can’t wait to see him next time.

Dr. Motz and his amazing staff make a cohesive team giving high quality care to their patients. My son is particularly fond of the 4-legged staff member, Patton. Patton really puts all patients in a great mood, however, has a special effect on children making them more comfortable in visiting the dentist. The environment is clean, modern, pleasant, and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Motz if you are in need of a dentist!

I really enjoyed the team there. The office is very clean. And most of all I was very nervous when I first started going there and Dr Motz was so pleasant, and he end form me that I will be ok. And he had Patton come in to calm me down. So, with that being said. I would recommend anyone to go there. I love me some General Patton the certified dental therapy dog Go Patton.

The BEST dental care I have ever experienced is at this office! Megan was great, extremely professional, and personable. She did a wonderful job! Dr Motz is also great and welcoming and makes you feel like part of the family!

I had my first visit with Monocacy Valley Dental today. I have neglected my teeth for far too long and was super nervous about going to the dentist. Not only was the staff super friendly, but very knowledgeable as well! They made sure I understood everything that they were doing, were going to do and what needed to be done. They were gentle (which was a HUGE plus for me) and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. A major bonus was that they have an emotional support dog there! I am a dog lover at heart and getting to love on Patton!! I might actually be looking forward to my future cleanings now!
